Nox

I bounce around in my living room with Dani. The music is loud and we’re just vibing with the beats.

Dani dances on his toes, and I turn up the music until the walls vibrate. Luckily, my shadows can muffle sounds for the other residents, so they don’t have to deal with our dance parties. It’s been a while and I need this time with my friend.

“How do I have sex?”

Dani stops dead and looks me in the eye. “You did not just ask me that.”

“Yeah?” I don’t even know if Cyrus is interested. “I want to be prepared. In case Cy is ever ready.”

Dani reaches for the tv remote and turns the music off.

“Hey!”

“No. I think this is a discussion we need to have sans dance party.”

I drop onto my couch and await his lesson. “Okay. So… sex.”

Dani is so red.

“You and Maddox have so much of it. I can hear you through the walls.”

“You can?” His eyes go wide and he looks around.

“That’s what all the moaning is, right?”

“Okay. Okay.” Dani paces my living room. “Sex. Sex. Sex.”

“Right. That’s the topic.”

“What do you know?”

I nod. “I have a penis. It gets hard. Especially if I think about Cyrus.”

Dani snorts. “How the hell do you not know how to have sex? You’ve been around—”

“I didn’t pay attention to how creatures pleasure each other, okay?”

“Don’t call us creatures. It’s weird.” Dani shivers and shakes out his hands.

“Okay.” I blink up at him. “So—”

He holds up his hand. “I’m thinking. Did you do the research I told you to?”

“Yeah, spent a long, long time on it. I’m a gay gender non-conforming cis male demisexual. I’m not one hundred percent on the demisexual, but I think it’s close.”

“Okay, sounds like you did research. But not on sex?”

“I wasn’t ready yet.” I wring my hands. “It just never appealed to me. But now… I want to do things, but only if Cy does, too.”

Dani snorts as he sits next to me. “Have you talked about it?”

“Not really, but I want to be ready, you know?”

“Yeah, I get it.” He threads his fingers through his pretty multi-colored hair. The purples and pinks shimmer, it’s so silky. “Hand me your phone. I think a visual is going to be the best for you.”

“Sounds good.” I pass my phone over. He types something into the search engine and suddenly there’s moaning coming from my phone.

“This is the basic missionary position. There’s a bunch of others.” He passes me back my phone and I watch.

“That’s it?” I glare at him. “That one guy looks uncomfortable with his legs like that.”

He waves for me to hand him the phone again. “Doggie.”

“Do you have to bark?”

“What?! No!” He laughs so hard I catch him before he falls off the couch.

“It’s a legitimate question.”

“Just—” he waves at my phone again.

The one guy is bent over, and the other is—

“This one looks a lot more comfortable, but I want to face him so I can see his pretty eyes.”

“What about cowgirl?”

“But we’re both guys.
